This past summer, Sephora introduced its consumers to a whole new type of product; CBD. The giant makeup and cosmetics brand introduced a Lord Jones CBD online in 2018 and introduced product to their stores this past summer. Having enjoyed the benefits of a new audience and reach as they continue to grow that segment of their brand, Sephora looks to make the next move in the space. To follow up, Sephora has launched their biggest CBD Skincare campaign to date, partnering with Saint Jane. In January 2020, the clean beauty company debuted its product in nearly 300 Sephora stores nationwide.
This partnership was years in the works, starting when Saint Jane CEO Casey Georgeson was an intern for Sephora while still in college. Since leading her brand to a small scale of success in just one short year, Sephora took notice and the partnership was formed for their biggest CBD launch yet. This will undoubtedly move Saint Jane to new levels in the cosmetic and beauty space, especially in the exponentially growing market of CBD.
As far as the product itself, it has received rave reviews, with Saint Jane even being lauded as “the most innovative CBD beauty company in the U.S.” by medical cannabis pioneer Dr. June Chin.
Moving forward with the partnership, CEO Casey Georgeson looks to expand the relationship within her own company, dedicating a team of 10 to the daily operations for the launch and fulfillment. This first product line is just the start for the brand, as Saint Jane will look to develop additional products exclusively for Sephora, including a CBD infused lipstick line later this year.
